How to Find Us

Ivy House has been sympathetically converted from a former chapel into a five bedroom residential service.


The accommodation is split over 2 floors with spacious bedrooms on the ground floor and a further 2 self contained studio apartments on the first floor.


The ground floor has been designed to provide access for people with mobility impairments and includes a lounge / dining room, en-suite wet room, kitchen and laundry facilities.


The first floor studio apartments are fully self contained with modern kitchen, washing machine, dining area, lounge, en-suite bathroom and sleeping area.

There is a training and meeting facility within the home that will provide a resource for both service users and care staff.


Ivy House has been deigned without compromise, the overall effect is a home with spacious communal areas balanced with privacy and space for each individual.


The home is staffed 24 hours a day by a highly trained, motivated staff team (Please See “Professional Development” for further information on staff training), who are managed by a service manager and an assistant manager.  Please click on the image above for more details.


A person centred approach ensures the individual’s wishes and needs are met and they remain in control of how they choose to live their lives, the Staff team support the individuals in achieving this whilst ensuring health, safety and well-being of the individual is maintained.

Lyndsey has worked within the health and social care sector for 12 years since being 18.

Starting her career as a support worker with adults with learning disabilities and a high level of challenging behaviour. After returning from maternity leave she opted to work for supported living within the community which gave her a different experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.


Lyndsey has achieved the  NVQ level 3  and Level 5 in health and social care and is a qualified MAPA (Managing Actual and Potential Aggression) instructor for the company.



Lyndsey Abbott

Registered Service Manager, Ivy Dene / Ivy Rose / Ivy House


Lyndsey joined Ivy Care in 2009 as the activities  

co-ordinator at Ivy Dene.


Over the years she has built good relationships with the service users and has gained a vast amount of knowledge about the care sector.


Lyndsey was successfully appointed as deputy manager of Ivy Dene in February 2013 and after being the Acting Manager from September 2015 was appointed as the Registered Manager in October 2016.


Zoe Jessop

Interim Service Manager, Ivy Dene / Ivy Rose / Ivy House












Zoe joined Ivy Care in July 2012 as a Deputy Manager.  

With 18 years experience in health and social care Zoe has obtained her nvq level 5 (health and social care).


Zoe has spent the majority of her professional life working within a residential setting, firstly in a therapeutic community for vulnerable children and young people later becoming the operational manager a substance rehabilitation unit for women and their children.

                      

Zoe is an experienced senior care professional with proven ability of working effectively as both a team member and in management roles.  A committed and dedicated individual, passionate about delivering a high quality service, maintaining and raising standards of care.  Zoe feels Confident, open-minded and non-judgmental, and aims to always lead by example.

As you may be aware Lyndsey Abbott, Registered Service Manager for Ivy Dene (inc Ivy Rose and Ivy House) has now started her maternity leave.
